Fans love Alyson Hannigan from “How I Met Your Mother,” but it seems there has been reason to worry about her lately. The star has obtained a restraining order against a man she says has been harassing her online, and Hannigan says he has gone so far as to threaten to kill her. TMZ shared the details on Alyson Hannigan's restraining order on Feb. 13.
The “American Pie” and “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” star filed a request for a restraining order against John Hobbs. Alyson Hannigan says he was recently released from a mental hospital, and she indicates he has been threatening her via her website, Facebook and MySpace. Her request shares that he has suggested he wants to rape her, and she believes he is mentally unstable. Hannigan also was given protection for her husband, Alexis Denisof, and her two daughters, Satyana and Keeva.
A hearing on the matter has been scheduled for March 6, at which time a judge will determine whether the restraining order against John Hobbs should be made permanent. This sounds like a frightening experience for Alyson Hannigan, and fans are glad she took the necessary steps to try to protect herself.
