How I Met Your Mother star Alyson Hannigan wouldn't be taking anytime away from the small screen after the series ends its nine season run on March 31, the actress has already nabbed the film lead in a new CBS comedy, "Time With Family." The multi-camera comedy centers around a husband and father who undergoes a career change to spend more time at home with his family. The show is produced by Hollywood actors by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, and comedian Tom Papa stars as the shows male lead along side Hannigan.
CBS is know for their hit half-hour comedies from "How I Met Your Mother" to the hugely successful "Big Bang Theory." However, the new gig is bittersweet for her who is sad to say goodbye to HIMYM; tweeting about the shows finale table read "Today we are having our last ever HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER table read," Hannigan tweeted. "Carter [Bays] & Craig [Thomas] are trying to rip my heart out on Valentine's Day."
The actress seems to be hitting a lucky strike in television, landing the HIMYM role of Lily after spending seven years on the popular vampire drama "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" playing witch Willow Rosenberg. Still, Hannigan isn't the only one to take on a new role Cristin Milioti, aka the Mother, will be starring in a new comedy for NBC.
