Although terribly neglected, this golden retriever at shelter is all gentle love

A male, red golden retriever mix named Howard entered the San Bernardino City Animal Shelter on August 21 and will be available for adoption by Thursday, August 28. Brought in as a stray, and thought to have bonded with a collie mix named Katy, the two extremely neglected dogs, with their gentle dispositions and their sad demeanor almost made the volunteers cry.

"So neglected! But incredibly sweet and loving," Sheila Pourteymoor called as volunteers video the dogs in their cage at the shelter.
