Alternative Press Music Awards To Be Held At Rock Hall In July

The first annual Alternative Press Music Awards will be held at the Rock Hall on Monday, July 21st and air live on AXS TV.

The show will not only honor the outstanding acts in alternative music but will feature a live performance from two-time Rock Hall Of Fame nominee Joan Jett & The Blackhearts as well as Fall Out Boy, A Day To Remember, twenty-one pilots and several others. Jett will also receive the Icon Award for her role in helping build America's punk rock scene.

Fifteen awards will be handed out including Artist Of the Year, Album of the Year and Vanguard Award (Lifetime Achievement). Fans can cast their votes in 12 different categories on the APMAS voting page. Voting ends July 15th.

The show will be hosted by Mark Hoppus of Blink-182.

General admission tickets sold out on the Alternative Press Magazine website last Friday but VIP packages remain by going here.
