Alternative Cancer Treatments

“CANCER,” that is one of the most frightening diagnosis anyone can receive. Immediately, the mind goes into overdrive, the chest tightens, and it becomes difficult to breathe. “Why me?” and “What can I do?” are usually the first two questions that stutter out of one’s mouth.

Treatments vary depending on the type of cancer, where it is located, if it is a tumor, and how widespread. Multiple tests have to be completed before those questions can be answered. Then come the choices. The horrible effects of radiation and chemotherapy compounded with the pain and fear of the disease leaves little to be desired. The uncertainty of unconventional treatments is another subject to ponder.

After getting your test results, and discussing your doctor’s suggestions, it may be time to research into alternative cancer treatments that don’t compromise your immune system or lead to more complications.

Healthy changes in lifestyle and habits can be beneficial with or without cancer, and should be taken seriously and put into effect as soon as possible. Eating a healthy fresh diet, getting regular exercise, drinking purified water, and practicing relaxation through meditation, prayer, and quiet time to relieve any stress on a daily basis is essential in healing any disease.

There are many alternative cancer treatments. Some are very effective for some patients and not as effective on others. Since these treatments come from natural medicine instead of powerful drugs with heavy side effects, many of them can be combined for a rapid overall cure.

One excellent source for help can be found at the A. P. John Institute for Cancer Research, which was founded in 1978 by Angelo P. John, Sr., a cancer scientist who specialized in molecular biology. Research developed by Albert B. Lorincz, M.D. from the University of Chicago, and Marco Rabinovitz, Ph.D. of the National Cancer Institute has led to the Controlled Amino Acid Therapy (CAAT). It is a treatment based on diet and nutrition that helps control and cure cancer.

Another alternative cancer program can be found at Utopia Awaits in Oldsmar, Florida. Dr. Garcia, who has been passionately helping patients reach optimal health with natural medicine since 1996, directs it. His approach includes a five-step focus. First, extensive diagnostic testing to analyze the appropriate treatment for the patient’s health needs; second, detoxifying the body; third, creating a diet that caters to the illness with any required supplements; fourth, using immunotherapy to eradicate the cancer; and fifth, directing mind and body connections to heighten and speed up the healing process.

With cancer almost at the top of the American chronic health crisis as the second leading cause of death in the United States, following close behind heart disease, it affects millions of people. If you, or someone you love is suffering from this devastating disease, do your research, weigh the options, and stay on track. No matter what methods you decide to use for a cure, remember, your emotions play a huge part in the healing process. Keep your mind active with positive outlets. Stay away from negative people. Don’t allow yourself to become lost in self-pity. Find amusing activities and entertaining events to attend. Enjoy good company, keep smiling, and laugh as much as you can.
