Goofy green letter G goggles. Author's Photo.

Letter G activity options:
- Words that begin with G include goldfish, guppies, green, garbage, gobble, glue, glitter, grass, garlic, glove, goggles, grandparent, garden, grill, gourmet and galoshes. For a hard G sound, there is geography, giraffe and ginger. Talk about these words.
- Make a letter G out of glue and glitter.
- Build a letter G out of grapes and toothpicks.
- Draw a G, cover it in glue and sprinkle dry grits on top.
- Make a golden G. On a piece of cardboard or another sturdy material, use dry pasta and glue to make a G shape. Allow to dry completely and then spray the entire sheet gold. Decorate with rhinestones.
- G is for grouch, green and garbage. Make Oscar the Grouch's garbage can from a recycled fast food cup or toilet paper roll. Cover the cup in aluminum foil and draw vertical lines on it with a permanent marker. Glue tiny paper wads on the can in the shape of a G. Optionally, use a printable Oscar the Grouch template, cut him out and put him in the can.
- Use Sillycone trays to make green, G-shaped sidewalk chalk or crayons.
- Take grass clippings and make a letter G on the sidewalk.
- Try some of the free, printable letter G activities from DLTK. There are letter templates, printable books, toilet paper roll crafts and other projects.
