Little John is a three year old DSH brown tabby with round chubby cheeks and a great big heart. He was found outside by an Almost Home Foundation volunteer. He must have been someone’s pet at some point in time because he does not have the “street smarts” of an outdoor cat. Little John ran right in front of a car to greet the volunteer that rescued him.
Little John loves people and is super affectionate. He will flop and give you his belly for pets, and he will show his pleasure with a loud rumbling purr. Little John loves to play, and is especially fond of his little toy mouse.
Little John is in good health, but has tested positive for FIV. Cats with FIV can live long-healthy lives. The key is to keep their immune system strong. You can do this by keeping cats indoors, feed them high quality food, and make sure they have routine vet exams.
Little John likes other cats, but should be placed in a home with other FIV kitties, or by himself. Little John is neutered, microchipped, litterbox trained, and is up-to-date on his vaccinations.
