In shocking news today, an alligator at O'Hare airport shocked everyone. On Nov. 3, CNN reported that this alligator was found and then luckily it was captured before anyone was hurt. On Friday the alligator was crawling across the floor of the airport like it belonged there.
It was in terminal 3 where the alligator was walking around and just enjoying the scenery. Someone saw it and got in touch with a security guard so they could take care of it. Chicago Police Officer Anthony Oliver thought that it was a joke at first, but it wasn't at all.
The alligator was only about 18 inches long and so it wasn't too hard to take care of. They were able to capture it without hurting the animal at all and get it out of the airport. It was handed over to the Chicago Herpetological Society by animal control. They do believe that someone might have realized they couldn't take it through the checkpoints and just let the alligator go.
