Allentown hockey arena restaurants revealed

Lehigh Valley Phantoms owners, announced the restaurants that will occupy Allentown's downtown hockey arena. These restaurants, in addition to the concession food stands, will be housed along the Hamilton Street side of the arena, allowing them to be open seven days a week, even when the arena is not sponsoring an event.

Chickie's and Pete's sports bar was announced last week, this Philadelphia favorite serves beer,wings, and world famous crabfries. It will house 275 in its interior, have another 50 seats on the exterior,and can be entered from inside or outside the arena.

Crust, a coal-fired pizza shop, that hold 100 patrons, will offer both sidewalk and mezzanine seating. This pizza shop is new to the region, the first in Pennsylvania, and personal favorite of Rob Brooks, who co-owns the team along with his brother, Jim.

Tom Horton's Cafe and Bake Shop, which specializes in baked goods--such as doughnuts, muffins, and bagels--as well as offering coffee and sandwiches, is the number one fast food restaurant in Canada. This franchise boast over 900 restaurants, and the arena establishment will be its first in Pennsylvania, also.

Allentown's Neighborhood Improvement Zone Development Authority, approved the expenditure of $4 million in tax-zone money that will be used to build the interior of each restaurant.
