Allen wins by two over Laredo Bucks

ALLEN, Texas -- The Allen Americans kept its head of steam with a 6-4 win over Southern Conference foe Laredo.

Allen jumped out to a fast two goal lead on scores by Colton Yellow Horn and Tobias Whelan. Laredo got one score back and the first period closed with a one goal lead for Allen.

Laredo tied the game half way though the second period. Allen put the pressure on the Bucks and ended the period with a flurry. Goals by Nathan ONabigon and Bruce Graham doubled the American lead heading into the final period.

Not giving up Laredo worked backed into the game and the score was tied again with seven minutes left in regulation. The tie lasted less than two minutes when Bruce Graham scored his second goal giving the Americans the lead. An emptynet shot by Jordie Benn rounded out the scoring.

Allen moved to within four points of Southern Conference leader Odessa.
