Allen West already fundraising over the Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl POW exchange

Just as they did off of the attacks in Benghazi which were quickly turned into a cash grab, a Republican is already planning to bring in the cash when it comes to the issue of POW Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl.

After President Obama made the decision to exchange five Taliban prisoners for POW Sgt. Bow Bergdahl, Republicans quickly went on the attack. Allegations of Bergdahl being a deserter which resulted in the deaths of multiple members of military who were searching for him arose as did other allegations. President Obama defended himself quickly and stated he would do nothing different regardless, stating that the United States leaves no troop behind.

Echoing their previous attempts at a cash grab over Benghazi, Republicans are now looking to fund-raise over the POW exchange. As Media Matters points out, Fox News contributor and former Republican congressman Allen West sent out an e-mail on Wednesday asking for money to be sent to his political action committee, the Allen West Guardian Fund.

"America now negotiates with terrorists.

This is a dangerous precedent and was done unilaterally by President Obama when he secured the release of Army Sgt. Bow Bergdahl..a deserter who abandoned his post leaving his weapon behind.

I just can't understand this President. Today is just another sad day where our own Commander-in-chief is more dangerous than the enemies we're fighting.

We need to change the leadership and I have just the solution!

I have 14 constitutional conservatives i've hand-picked to send to Washington who will fight tirelessly to protect our nation from Barack Obama's disastrous leadership.

Will you make an immediate contribution of $25, $50, $100 or more right away to Allen West Guardian Fund?"

Allen West's simple solution seems to be giving him more money. West has been one of the top attack dogs of the Republican party and the right wing media ever since President Obama was elected in 2008. Though West and others claim the issue is not political, actions like this show that it clearly is.
