A Craigslist advertisement selling "Magic: The Gathering" cards isn't anything out of the ordinary, however when the cards are five new foil mythic rares spoiled from Wizards of the Coast's upcoming expert expansion set "Gatecrash" - a set that won't be on store shelves for another two months - it's huge news for the "Magic" community.
The advertisement, which has since been deleted, was selling the five possible "Gatecrash" spoiler cards for $45 each because of their "power." Due to the location of the posting, the individual could be a possible employee of PBM Graphics of South Dakota. This wouldn't be the first time we've seen "Magic: The Gathering" cards spoiled from PBM Graphics. Back in March of 2009 several sheets of "Shards of Alara" foils were obtained from a garbage bin outside of the company by a dumpster diver and sold at a local flea market.
Among the alleged "Gatecrash" spoilers include a new red-green planeswalker, Domri Rade. Gaining a loyalty to look at the top card of your library could be abused in and of itself, and if it's a creature Domri Rade will put it into your hand. For a price of just two loyalty you'll be able to have one of your creatures fight another, and for seven loyalty you'll gain an emblem that says "Creatures you control have double strike, trample, hexproof, and haste." Domri Rade's starting loyalty of three keeps it out of range from common burn spells such as Searing Spear and Pillar of Flame, however Abrupt Decay and Dreadbore will still take him out. This powerful three drop planeswalker for 1RG could be the fuel that Gruul players need to make red-green aggro decks a serious contender.
Aurelia, the Warleader is a jaw-droppingly gorgeous 3/4 legendary angel for 2RRWW that allows Boros players to attack twice. She makes a great additional to any player's Kaalia of the Vast "Commander" deck alongside another alleged "Gatecrash" spoiler: Hellkite Tyrant. This 6/5 red dragon for 4RR with flying and trample steals all of your opponent's artifacts when it deals damage to them and gives you an alternate win condition: Control 20 artifacts.
Borborygomos Enraged is a huge 7/6 legendary trampling cyclops for 4RRGG that'll make you reveal the top three cards of your library when this Gruul fatty deals combat damage to an opponent. You'll have to keep the lands and put the rest into your graveyard, however you'll be able to discard each land to do three damage to a creature or player.
The fifth and final possible "Gatecrash" spoiler is Enter the Infinite, a massive blue sorcery for 8UUUU which lets you draw cards equal to the number of cards left in your library then put one card from your hand back on top. Will you find a way of winning on your next turn without an Omniscience? Can you protect a Laboratory Maniac?
