The bass bite is fish on. The fatty’s, large bass are heading up the river
The weather is excellent. Windy conditions didn’t stop the fish from biting anything that was put on a hook, topwater, jerk baits, shaky heads and soft plastic.
In direct sunlight
Mark your honey holes and check on them every week because spawning can go on for two to four weeks, the females will lay eggs more than one time, and the males will guard the nest. Finessing the grass is the key. The bass is not hungry at this time but they are in predator mode, meaning they will pick up the bait and spit it out away from the nest. The key is ‘setting the hook.’
Great fishing is here
Grab the kids and make some memories. Vary your retrieve. Look in the coves and pea gravel flats. Check on the points when the wind is nigh. Stripers and hybrids are guarding the nest and checking your lure out twice.
