All wrestlers eligible for the Royal Rumble, Will CM Punk or Daniel Bryan enter

It appears that the WWE is allowing all wrestlers to enter the 30 man battle royal at this year's Royal Rumble. According to a Monday January 23rd report by WWE.com, all wrestlers are eligible including the WWE champion CM Punk. In previous years, the champion wasn't allowed to participate and neither was the challenger to the title.

With all wrestlers being eligible, it means that wrestlers like CM Punk, Dolph Ziggler, The Big Show, Mark Henry and world heavyweight champion Daniel Bryan can pull double duty at the PPV. That means, win or lose, CM Punk and Daniel Bryan could conceivably win the Royal Rumble and earn the title shot at WrestleMania 28.

This would bode well for both Punk or Bryan especially if either of them were to lose their title. However, if they retain their titles, and one of them wins the Royal Rumble, then they could ensure a world title shot for Mania if they were to lose it before the WM 28 PPV and/or the WWE could use it as part of a storyline where they wouldn't have to defend the title because there's no challenger.

With every wrestler being eligible, this definitely opens the door for some interesting possibilities and storylines. I do not believe that Ziggler will win the title yet. I also feel that Bryan will somehow squeak through his triple threat match with Henry and Big Show. However, I'm leaning toward Jericho, Orton or Sheamus winning the Royal Rumble this year.
