Starting this Friday, August 28th, is the eighth annual Lewiston jazz festival. There will be over twenty bands through out Friday and Saturday playing in restaurants and pubs all over Lewiston. Concerts are also outdoors along Center Street in downtown Lewiston. Friday’s artists include: Peter Malinverni and Jody Sandhaus with Ron Corsaro’s Upstate Express and plenty more. Saturday’s artists include: Gap Mangione and the New Big Band and plenty more. There are so many bands playing through out the weekend it’s hard to decide where to go first. All the concerts and the festival are free to the public.
Not only is there music to entertain your ears but a jewelry and vintage car show through out the weekend. These are held both Friday and Saturday along Center Street. With these the local restaurants are also providing samples of the spectacular food and wine in Lewiston. Everything all in one: food, wine, great music, and shopping.
New to this years festival is the Jazz Festival Jazz Crawl being held on Sunday, August 30th. You follow the music up and down the Village Courtyard and any participating restaurants. There’s a full brochure listing online of the new event details and directions.
