The third season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey premieres tonight on Bravo, so the complete cast of six appeared on the Today Show this morning to talk about the big debut. Returning stars Teresa Giudice, Jacqueline Laurita and Caroline Manzo were on hand, as were newcomers Kathy Wakile and Melissa Gorga. Dina Manzo and Danielle Staub are not returning for the new season.
When Kathie Lee Gifford asked the ladies about what fans can expect from the third season, veteran Caroline Manzo replied, “The cameras catch it all.” The premiere includes an emotional blow-up at the christening of newcomer Melissa Gorga’s son. Concerning her decision to join the cast, Gorga said, “I thought about it for months and months, but I signed on the dotted line.”
The new season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey highlights how Caroline Manzo deals with her empty nest syndrome. “My children are living life and doing their own thing. They are soaring and flying,” she explained on Today. Jacqueline Laurita addressed the touchy subject of Danielle Staub. Hota Kotb asked her if there was a new lightning rod this season, to which Laurita replied, “It depends who you talk to.” Teresa Giudice said that she was grateful for the opportunities afforded her from appearing on the show. “I was able to write my two books, but there’s ups and downs. It comes with the territory.”
Caroline Manzo wrapped up the entire third season by adding, “It's a tremendous roller coaster of good and bad.” To catch the season three premiere of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, be sure to tune into Bravo tonight at 9/8c.

- Melissa Gorga: Melissa Gorga joins The Real Housewives of New Jersey for Season 3, but is already part of the family as her husband Joe is Teresa's brother. Melissa is a sassy Italian who is known for her witty, fun, and loving personality. After graduating from New Jersey City University with a B.A. degree in education and psychology, she is now a stay at home mom whose life is all about her family. Melissa and Joe have been married for almost seven years and met while both were away on spring break in Cancun. They live in an ornate mansion that her husband, a successful real estate developer, built and Melissa decorated. Melissa and Joe have three beautiful children, Antonia, five, Gino, three, and Joey 11 months.
- Kathy Wakile: Kathy Wakile is one of the new faces on Season 3 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, but is no stranger to the cast as she is a first cousin with fellow Housewife, Teresa Giudice. Kathy resides in Wayne, New Jersey with her husband of more than 19 years, Rich, and their two children, Victoria, 17, and Joseph, 15. Kathy works hard to keep her family's world in order and carefully monitors her children's social lives. However she loves to party and have a good time. Whether Kathy is hosting a theme night with her girlfriends or celebrating Victoria's Sweet 16 birthday party with belly dancers, Kathy and her family definitely live life to the fullest.
