Perhaps we’re curious about them because it’s something most of us don’t have. Maybe we’re jealous because we didn’t pop out of the womb with a partner. No matter the reason, we love twins - the Olsens, Tia and Tamera, the double mint commercials, we even love the Love twins.
There’s a fun pair of twins from Idaho named the Shook Twins. They beat box, their banjo makes a “wahn wahn” sound because it’s connected to an electronic distortion pedal, they bock like chickens (not kidding), they cover Ani DiFranco and Tears for Fears, and they have a good time on stage.
Katelyn and Laurie Shook moved to Portland four months ago, but they already have several shows lined up around town before heading on a California tour in late April. With their matching long blond hair and their folk vocal harmonies, these twins are certainly worth checking out.
