All pets over 5 are free at ACCT today (1/10) (Photos)

For today’s (1/10) Bark in the Mew Year adoption special, the Animal Care and Control Team is waiving fees on all pets 5 years old and over. This means a huge selection of animals at the perfect post- puppy and kitten ages are totally free to adopt. There are older pets that are fully trained and used to living with cats, dogs and people (including kids!). Some older pets have often had a rough go of it and spent time on the streets. Others are scared and confused in the shelter after years doing their best in what they thought was their permanent home.

However they got to ACCT and from wherever they came, older pets are not suited for shelter life. They deserve some comfort and love in their prime and into their golden years. The older pets at ACCT now are a healthy bunch and have plenty of life, love and loads of fun to offer the right home. Older pets are great for a chaotic household as they need less training and supervision. They are also perfect first time pets as they fit right into any lifestyle and are super low maintenance but great and willing companions.
