Well it's the second day of 2014....Happy New Year.
A few short weeks ago, I was asked to create a list of gift ideas.
So I attempted to put one up on the refrigerator except for the longest time, nothing was written on it. Then finally a movie came to mind, on DVD called “Summer In February.”
So I wrote it down and instantly that night, a smile graced the face of the requester of the list and then we found out that it isn't available in the United States yet.
Oh well, it is definitely one that is well worth waiting for, so I shall continue to be patient.
A week or two passed by and again my list was still empty.
It was a bit daunting as time went by, after all, the things that are most important to me are family, health and those things that cannot be obtained at the local merchants.
Still there it remained... “The list.”
I thought about it as I passed by it day after day knowing there was something.
Then finally it came to me and it was something of such great magnitude that I realized I had been hoping for it, nay...praying for it, for quite sometime now.
After all, a gift of this nature should bring happiness and betterment of life to other people too.
So I set about to write these words on my list.
“For the good of the Nation, I want a Full Repeal of “The Affordable Care Act.”
It was simple and yet so complicated and because it was a Christmas list, I felt I needed to explain my request, so I sat down and wrote this:
I want to see families in America honored and thriving.
I want to see the Constitution honored and strictly adhered to by those in government from the President on down the line.
I want to see the people of the United States of America consulted and the given our Constitutional right of voting on all the issues, because We The People were not asked or included by Obama and his administration regarding the ACA, the result was the passing of the ACA.... without the consent of the governed.
This is serious business as the result is that; We. the American people are now forced to purchase this privately sold commodity of Obama's choosing or suffer hefty fines if we do not or cannot afford to buy.
Speaking of which, since the precarious roll out of the ACA, it has proven to millions upon millions of We, the American people, that the Affordable Care Act is fraught with problems and anything but affordable, and while Obama calls the ACA his signature legacy, millions have already discovered for themselves that it is more like a curse.
I want America back the way it used to be, when Presidents had to follow the Constitution and not seek to alter it for their own purposes.
I want America, Of the People, By the People and For the People to be restored to the immutable law of the land, as our Founders intended it to be in the first place.
I want freedom to ring out in America like the uplifting beautiful song she is supposed to be... and was before.
I want a lot of great things for America, I want to see the wars ended and our Military come safely home.
I want the medical care for our Veterans to be the finest in all the world.
For all that they have done for all of us, at the very least we owe our Veterans that and so much more.
I want unemployment to be non-existent.
I want to see Americans grow and thrive and earn a livable, sustainable wage.
I want to see the homeless helped and safe in homes, not on the streets.
I want to see animals loved and treated well, not abused.
And God.... America needs God and I want to see His Hand upon this country guiding us and blessing us again.
I want to see America blessed by God with a forthright, conscientious and trustworthy President that brings us together instead of dividing us.
Since it is abundantly clear that the majority of Americans do not want the ACA/ObamaCare, repealing the law in full would give the power back to the American People where it rightfully belongs.
The very best way to start 2014 is clear:
Removing the specter of ObamaCare, in full repeal from the American landscape, would signal the return of America: Of the People, By the People and For the People.
So there you have it... “The list.”
In closing, as I appeal to the Congress and my own representatives: Lamar Alexander, Marsha Blackburn, Bob Corker as well as every other Senator and Congressperson in our great Nation, I leave this reminder:
Just because Christmas of 2013 has come and gone, it is not too late to bestow this wondrous gift upon we, the American People:
A full repeal of the Affordable Care Act/ObamaCare will remove the yoke of ObamaCare's sure financial ruin, from off our necks...and a gift of this magnitude is certainly better late, than never.
