All good apps go to heaven: Google Reader bites the dust

If you read that Google Reader is a small business social media must have, and agreed, you'll be sad to hear that Google is pulling the plug on the service. Doom day is set for July 1, 2013. Your outrage is right! In recent years, Detroiters have had some disappointments, so the feeling isn't new, but that does not make it hurt any less. Apparently, Google Reader has had declining usage of the service. But, the outrage in the social media sphere seems to say otherwise. Many tweeters shared their outrage at losing the trusted RSS reader, and ther are even a few petitions floating around here and here since Google shared the news in a blog post Wednesday. Google says this is part of a spring cleaning, that saddens them as well, that sets the expiration date on a handful of apps and services. Most to here the news are outraged, as a search for this newly trending topic on Twitter will show.
