After the Illini's surprising 63-56 win at Wisconsin, the NCAA Tournament hopes were looking good. Two wins would most likely seal the Illini's bid to the Big Dance.
But Bruce Weber's squad dropped five of six to end the season, and the Illini will need at least one win at the Big Ten Tournament to have a chance at an at-large bid.
The Big Ten Tournament has been a friend to the Illini, and if Illinois procures some of the magic it enjoyed mid-way through the Big Ten season, a win against Wisconsin to start the Tournament isn't out of the question.
But the biggest thing for the Illini will be to get their leader Demetri McCamey going early and throughout the game. And for the Illini, they will need McCamey to bounce back after a frustrating performance in the regular season finale against Wisconsin.
The commentator has a point - McCamey's attitude needs to improve. There is no room for frustration when the Illini's postseason hopes rest on his shoulders.
