“No exact date has been announced,” IGN’s Daemon Hatfield says in a video post, “but they’ll be here in February, which is soon.”
The DLC content includes “Dawnguard”, “Hearthfire”, and “Dragonborn” will all arrive at the same time, following several months of delayed release. “As an apology of sorts,” Hatfield explains, developer Bethesda will discount all the PS3 by 50% for the first week that it’s available.
In addition, Bethesda also announced on Jan. 18 that “Dragonborn” will be on PC by February 5, 2013. The two original DLC’s, “Dawnguard” and “Hearthfire”, were only meant to enjoy 30 days of exclusivity on Xbox 360; technical issues, though, made them “pan out differently” and thus they were delayed. PC owners were also kept waiting for a long time, and PS3 owners were made to wait indefinitely while Bestheda wrestled with the console’s technology. Bestheda explained in October 2012, “[they weren’t] satisfied with the add-on contents’ performance for PS3,” Hatfield says.
But that wait is finally over, as all the DLC content will be available. For more information, check out IGN’s video posted here.
