4J Studios’ Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition has seen tremendous success since it was first released on the platform last year. Fans of every console can rest assured that all upcoming versions of the game will bring a similar experience as the developer confirmed on Tuesday that each console’s edition of the popular block building title will share the same base game code.
This will ensure that players will have a similar experience regardless of whether they are playing Minecraft on Xbox 360, Playstation 4, Xbox One, or the PS Vita. Additionally, this means that 4J Studios will have an easier time updating each individual version as the code will be interchangeable. Furthermore, all upcoming console versions of Minecraft will include all title updates that have been released on the Xbox 360 edition of the game to date.
Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition is out now in stores and on Xbox Live. The game is also headed to next-gen consoles after their release.
