All-American style, wherever you travel in the world: Urban Halo

All-American style while traveling: Urban Halo
Tamar Alexia Fleishman, Esq.

When you're traveling, whether it's hot, humid weather or you're on the slopes, there's a time when you want to pull your hair back. It doesn't matter if you have long tresses or a short pixie, you just want to! But you certainly don't want accessories that pop off. I had a barrette that had the back piece pop off somewhere in my room and I've offered the dog a reward if he finds the part. Not great when you're on the road, away from home.

But -- let's be honest -- you want serious style when you're meeting new people for the first time. Traditional headbands not only hurt, but they've got an uptight look and image, stuck in the 1980's. Remember how Hillary Clinton was excoriated in the press when she wore her little headbands? Fortunately, there's Urban Halo to the rescue! I was happy to be hosted to experience it.

They're made in the USA of soft, slightly stretchy material -- very comfortable. The headbands are designed so that you can wear them wide or fold them for a thinner look. With their mix of girly floral/Mod and gritty designs, I'm sure there are ones that men would like. After all, they definitely market the designs to men, too. For example, there are a couple of gray/black graphic designs, camo, skulls, American flags, solid black.

You can also wrap them around a pony tail, a braid or your wrist. Wear them high or low on your forehead.Think of them as a style piece and also, for activewear. So versatile for traveling!
