All Aboard to the Elegant Farmer

Fresh baked apple pies, perfectly round pumpkins, hayrides out in the crisp, fall air...Fall is officially here. Celebrate the harvest season in style by catching a ride to The Elegant Farmer on the East Troy Electric Railroad.

East Troy is a quaint community dating back to 1836 and is proud of its history. This sense of pride is especially evident at the East Troy Electric Railroad. The railroad company hosts a museum, dinner rides in its art-deco dining cars and tours of the local shops. Currently East Troy Electric Railroad is the unique way to arrive at one of the most popular pumpkin farms in the area, The Elegant Farmer. Take the 45 minute cruise down to East Troy and hop on board for the scenic ride to experience all the fun fall has to offer.

As soon as you arrive at The Elegant Farmer you will be entranced with the energy that pulses through the entire farm. Apple-picking, hayrides, create-your-own caramel apple, pumpkins patches and gourmet shopping...The Elegant Farmer creates a one-stop shop for all things autumn. If you decide to avoid the crowds and visit during the week, take advantage of the farm tours offered for only $5.00, including an apple and a pumpkin. The farm's store is open year-round so be sure to check the website for other seasonal events.

The railroad only runs to The Elegant Farmer on the weekends until October 25th. If you can't make it before then, check out the railroad's website for information on its Halloween Day Haunted Trains. Family-friendly rides are offered during the day with two after-dark departure times for those more daring.
