The Tampa Bay Lightning and FOX’s Sun Sports, the Bolts regional television home announced on Tuesday that they will broadcast 77-games this season, all in high definition.
Additionally, NBC Sports Network will be broadcasting three games and WTOG (CW44) two, so all 82-games of the regular season will be covered.
NBC Sports Network will carry the games on Oct. 18 (at Buffalo), Oct. 29 (at New Jersey) and March 4 (at St. Louis). Ch. 44 will carry the games on Nov. 16 (at Phoenix) and April 5 (at Dallas).
Play-by-play announcer Rick Peckham and color analyst Bobby “The Chief” Taylor return to the booth while sideline reporter/host Paul Kennedy along with analysts Chris Dingman and Dave Andreychuk also return for pregame and post game coverage.
Host Paul Kennedy, will join returning analysts Dave Andreychuk and Chris Dingman on LIGHTNING LIVE, Sun Sports’ pregame show for home and road games and extended post game show for all telecasts. Kelly Nash will also join the crew as social media reporter and as the host for select airings of Inside the Lightning.
The Inside the Lightning series returns and will feature player profiles and episodes offering behind-the-scenes access to other aspects of the team and its operations. There are seven new episodes tentatively scheduled to air throughout the upcoming season.
On Friday, September 27, at 11 p.m., Sun Sports will debut a special, hour-long Lightning season preview show.
Sun Sports coverage begins with the season opener on Thursday, October 3 when the Bolts face-off against the Boston Bruins in Boston.
