Alison Sweeney is leaving "Days of Our Lives" and a lot of her fans are not happy about it. On Friday, Fox News spoke to Alison to get the latest news on what she had to say about leaving the show. She played the part of Sami for 21 years. It has pretty much been her life and now she is ready to move on to something new.

This actress spoke out about the show and said that they asked her what they could do to get her to stay. There was nothing though because she was ready to move on to something new. Alison is still working on "The Biggest Loser" and she recently wrote a book called "Scared Scriptless" that is coming out.

A big deal to Allison Sweeney is being at home more. She has two small children and is married to a police officer. She wants to work on a job where she can be around and take her kids to school each day. This is important to her and now that she is not going to be on "DOOL" she can do that for her kids.

People shared about filming her final episode on the show. Alison shared that on her last day she cried a lot of tears and even took a picture of her parking spot. On her last day her kids were there with her so it helped her to not do the ugly cry but she was still upset with tears streaming down her face.

Alison even shared that since leaving "Days of Our Lives" it is a bit scary for her. She doesn't have a big pile of scripts to read all the time. She still wakes up and is afraid she will be late to work. This is all going to take a bit of getting used to for Sweeney but she will do just fine.
