"Days of Our Lives" fans know Alison Sweeney as a staple on the show. She has held the role of Sami Brady for 21 years. On top of being a daytime actress, Sweeney has hosted "The Biggest Loser" for seven years. According to a Jan. 21 report from New York Daily News, Alison Sweeney will be leaving "Day of Our Lives" at the end of 2014. She announced her plans on "Ellen."

Fans of "Days of Our Lives" have already been sounding off regarding Alison Sweeney's departure. The role of Sami Brady can be labeled as a villianess, and that is putting it lightly. She hurt many people in Salem throughout her time there. Sweeney is not sure what the writers will choose to do with Sami, but she hopes it will be fitting for the character. There is no word yet on whether or not "The Biggest Loser" is still in the cards for Alison Sweeney.

All good things must come to an end and it seems that Alison Sweeney feels like her time with "Day of Our Lives" is up. Fans will miss her and are hoping there will be a tribute episode at some point during the year.
