The woman who threw a shoe at former First Lady and former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton is now known to be 36-year-old Alison Michelle Ernst. Ernest was charged with a misdemeanor of disorderly conduct and released from Clark County’s jail on Friday – the day after she threw a shoe some 60 feet at Clinton, according to a Yahoo! News report on Saturday.

The report including the court actions also said that Ernst apparently was agitated but quite aware of what she did in her actions against Clinton. The woman could be locked up in the county jail for as long as 12 months if she is found guilty of violating a county ordinance.

The reports of the woman being a blond-headed woman obviously were due to Ernst wearing a wig – as her mug shot shows her with dark hair.

Records show that Ernst has been accused of bypassing security officers, walking quickly toward a rope located some 6 rows away from the location where Clinton stood before an audience of approximately 1,000 persons, and then taking a shoe out of her purse and throwing it at Clinton.

Clinton was not hit in the incident, but had to duck to avoid being hit. Clinton was giving a paid speech in Las Vegas at the time of the incident.
