Alisa Maier, 4-year-old in Missouri was found alive late Tuesday night after she was abducted from her front yard Monday night; Alisa was found at a gas station about 70 miles from her home.
A witness watched Alisa walk away from a car that had "a very loud muffler" near a gas station car wash in Lousiana, Missouri. Alisa’s hair had been cut short and the witness called the police and said that the child was a boy.
Police found Alisa and identified her, then took her to a hospital. Authorities said that the doctors would determine if she was injured or abused.
St. Louis County Police Chief Tim Fitch said the suspect has been described as "a white male, possibly a dark-skinned white male, (with) short dark hair, (in his) early 30's."

"He was in a black or dark-brown, mid-size four-door vehicle, possible a Ford Escort," he said.
Wednesday morning Roy Harrison, Alisa's grandfather said that Alisa was smiling this morning, CNN reported.
He asked that the suspect turn himself into police, "We tell him that he did the first step. That's what I tell everybody, he's done the first step. He needs to step up and admit he has a problem and turn himself in and be accountable for what he has done."
