Gamers have been anticipating the release of Aliens: Colonial Marines for a year or two now and the final date has been released. Aliens: Colonial Marines is slated to release the Xenomorphs onto the public February 12, 2013 but can be pre-ordered now.
The game follows as a sequel to James Cameron's classic Aliens film on the colonized planet LV-426. Players get to join the US Colonial Marines on a mission to clear out the infestation of Xenomorphs that has taken over the terraformed planet. With customizable options for the players marine choice, the game is interactive in various ways including perks and achievements to be gained to increase a players gun, marine, and entire squad.
Single-player mode is story driven and an up to four-player co-op mode that is sure to be drenched in blood, whether it be yours or the Xenomorphs you are fighting. Co-op mode is set up in a drop-in/drop-out manner that allows players to call for backup when the fighting gets tough but allows teammates to drop out if other opportunities arise. For a great squad, invite your fellow marines to co-op.
Gamers will be relieved to know that the game design was drawn straight from the movie with the maps, guns, and Xenomorphic creatures all built to specifications that any hardcore Aliens fan will approve of.
Built for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC consoles, Aliens: Colonial Marines is something to look forward to. So suit up marines and get your butts moving to contain the Xenomorph swarm before they get you first.
