This article is a list and part of my original article, Aliens, Children and Television.  Click here!

In the past abductees were taken, if not by force, by hypnotic suggestion ot other means, against their free will.  A disturbing trend recently is to have abductees go willingly, without resistence. Karyn Dolan is the host of a website called "Through the Keyhole".  In particular, she believes Hollywood talent may utilize television and the media, to impress upon children and adults alike, the existence and acceptance of  aliens; whether their agenda is  good or bad!   Many cartoon episodes could have been used or designed to debunk actual abductions.  For example, "Yeah, I saw that alien episode on a television cartoon!", is an expression often used by interrogators of abductees!

O.K. here is a partial list, meant as instructional or an educational history of television shows, which have introduced Aliens into their script

Consider, if you will,  how aliens have crept into our lives through the media and more specifically Television.  Although aliens have been on earth or a long time, this list is meant as a supplement to my article entitled: Aliens, Children and Television!

1.    1933 SUPERMAN - From the planet Krypton and although human in appearance he had special powers and adopted Earth as his own after his own planet was destroyed and he was rocketed here by his father. Believe it or not, Superman started as a bald villian and after three revisions became a "good guy" in 1934.  His character, as we now know him, started in comic strips, moved to his own comic books,  to radio and then in 1948 he made the move to live action films.  The rest is, as they say, was history.  He appeared on television and the big screen.  Yet, no one seemed to mind that beyond it all he was still, basically, an alien!

2.    1948 Marvin the Martian (previiously known as "Commander X-23") - Marvin appeared on Bugs Bunny episodes.  Marvin had a plan for earth, i.e, to use his his Illudium Q-36 Explosive Space Modulator, to blow up the earth.  Why?  The Earth blocked his view of Venus.  In any fight, Bugs Bunny always seem to win. Remember Marvin's dog, Commander X-9?

3.    1965 Gazoo - First appeared on the Flinstones cartoon show in episode 147  and was sent here by another race from another planet to help Fred and Barney.  Interesting coincidence that the number 47 is the same as the year of crash in Roswell.  He appears to Fred and Barney after a meteor crashes to earth, barely missing Fred's car. Inside the meteor is a spacecraft containing a little green man (shades of Roswell) named Gazoo. Gazoo was banished to earth by some other unseen aliens and must serve Fred and Barney.  He can only be seen by Fred and Barney and would appear and disappear in an instant while creating magic.  According to Karyn, this is typical of abduction literature which shows aliend often appear only to selected people.  Here is a little triia question for you - Who was the voice of Gazoo?

4.  1968 Space Ghost - Wow, if there ever was a plethora of references to aliens it had to be in Space Ghost.  His base of operation was the Ghost Planet. His power came from his arm bands which shot "energy blasts, including, but not limited to: force ray, destructo ray, stun ray, heat ray, freeze ray, somic ray, electro ray, magnetic ray, anti-matter ray, force shields, hypno force ray, and straghtforward lasers. His blasters and had a protective force field".  Credit here to Space Ghost History. Space Ghost was always fighting aliens, especially ZORAK, a large insectoid which vastly resembled a praying mantis (sound like any known aliens in real life?)   Zorak was introduced to Space Ghost by abducting two teenage humans after escaping prison. Other real time "coincidences" to then known alien technology include "Creature King" a drastic reference to Project Paper Clip.  Project Paper Clip occured after WWII as an underground base in Dulce, NM with reported animals and human breeding experiments.  Other "coincedences" include  insectoids abducting humans, technology fireing lasers and cloaking devises.

5.    1969 Scooby Doo  Accofrding to Karyn Dolan, Scooby Doo was always fighting  aliens, ghosts and other monsters who, while in police custody stated they would have gotten away with their crime had it not been for Scooby Doo and his friends!  The message, "There is no such things as aliens.  You thought you saw something, you imagined it , saw in on television, a cartoon, or if it did exist, it was someone in a cheesy costume.

For those of you keeping a time table, I did NOT forget about the 1963 TV show, My Favorite Martian.  It was one of my favorite but was not a cartoon oriented more towards children.
