If you're not familiar with Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Florida, it's an annual event that combines a mix of horror franchises with original content to create an event packed with haunted houses, scare zones, and stage shows. It's not for young kids or the faint of heart, since the scareactors show no mercy and there aren't many safe zones. Many of the park's rides are also open during Halloween Horror Nights, like Revenge of the Mummy, Men in Black, and the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit roller coaster, but the main focus is on the terror.
The event gets very busy, especially later in the season, so it's smart to arrive as early as possible and be one of the first in line or, better yet, use a day ticket to get into the park and wait inside in one of the designated holding areas. That latter strategy allows you to be one of the first to hit the haunted houses when the event opens.
Meanwhile, Busch Gardens Tampa is gearing up for its own Halloween event. Jump to this article to learn about the newest HowlOScream haunted house.
