Alien Isolation is hitting consoles in October and ahead of that launch, the achievements that gamers can complete leaked online Tuesday morning.
In Alien Isolation you have to square off against one single alien and you have to do so using only your wits as it is far too hard to kill the creature using the tools you are given. To make matters worse you truly are in isolation in that this isn’t a squad based game where you have friends to rely on.
What makes Alien Isolation that much more difficult is you are not simply going up against the Xenomorph creature made so famous by Ridley Scott. You are not alone, even though you are in a state of isolation. The alien is one worry, but we’ve known for quite some time that humans were another.
Now with the leak on Xbox Achievements we know Androids are apparently a pretty big concern as well. Looking down the list some fairly obvious achievements pop up such as “used the shotgun,” “used the revolver,” and “used the flamethrower.” There are also a few that really do show Alien Isolation will have some other feats you’ll need to pull off in order to truly enjoy the game.
“Escaped from android combat without taking damage,” “Killed an Android,” “Killed an android using only the maintenance jack,” and “Contacted your team and escaped Comms without being attacked by an android,” show these machines that look like a man are pretty clearly a big part of the game.
As far as the humans go, a couple of different achievements pop up, “Killed 10 humans” and “Completed the game without killing any humans” seems to indicate that while the alien is extremely hard if not impossible to kill, taking down other humans won’t be a walk in the park either.
The Achievement list for Isolation indicates there are the story is split up into six distinct missions and there are also at least 10 mini-games. Some of this information has been coming out little by little since the title was first announced and other info is brand new thanks to this particular list making the rounds on the Internet. The one final piece of news appears to be that crafting will play a role as there are several achievements listed mentioning that particular task.
Alien Isolation is due to hit the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC, PS3 and PS4 on October 7.
