Alicia Keys isn’t the only celebrity to use Twitter as a means to support same-sex marriage. Miley Cyrus posted the following comments on Twitter last year:
"Jesus loves you and your partner and wants you to know how much he cares! That's like a daddy not loving his lil boy cuz he's gay and that is wrong and very sad! Like I said everyone deserves to be happy. I am a Christian and I love you — gay or not. Because you are no different than anyone else! We are all God's children!"
Mylie eventually shut her Twitter page down after she received tons of hate mail.
Britney Spears also used Twitter to support same-sex marriage. “"People should be able to do whatever makes them happy!" she said.
It’s great that more celebrities are speaking out about this issue. Who would you like to see publically speak out in favor of same-sex marriage? Tell us in the comments section below.
