Alicia Keys is one of several celebrities to partner with Blackberry to help push its platform, according to a Feb. 11 post on Slash Gear. Blackberry recently announced the partnership with Alicia Keys; giving her the title of Global Creative Director. The announcement came with the launch of the Blackberry 10. The launch went well and we’re sure Keys has been paid handsomely.
All was going well until Keys took to her Twitter account during the Grammys. That's when the tweets surfaced and they were from an iPhone, her previous phone of choice, and not a Blackberry. Celebrities don’t always have to like the products they are endorsing; although we hope they would be honest. We know sometimes money talks. In this case Alicia should have left the iPhone at home.
The tweet that started it all said:
“Started from the bottom now were [sic] here.”
Keys claims she had been hacked and the tweet was removed and replaced with:
“What the h$ll?!!! Looks like I've been hacked…I like @Drake but that wasn’t my tweet :-(”
First of all, Alicia hasn't known to use words like h$ll on Twitter, second of all why would she be tweeting Drake’s new single; it’s not a duet. And who would have hacked her Twitter only to make one tweet? Pocket Lint shows a photo of Alicia Keys getting ready for the Grammys. You can see how her iPhone 4 is positioned; ready for use. Sounds like she just had a slight case the break-up blues and didn't think about using her Blackberry until it was too late.
