Alicia Keys is a ‘Girl on Fire’ in black at the 2013 40 Principales Awards (Photos)

According to a Jan. 24 Daily Mail report, Alicia Keys was “beguiling” in her black dress at the 40 Principales Awards at Palacio de los Desportes on Jan. 24. The singer joined Taylor Swift at the awards show in Madrid where Keys picked up the Best US Composer of the Last Decade award.

Keys rocked black pants and a sheer top on the blue carpet, but later changed in the “beguiling” black dress for the show. A curly updo and bold earrings completed her look.

She performed some of her hits onstage, including “New Day,” “Girl on Fire,” and “Brand New Me,” after which the crowd serenaded her with “Happy Birthday.” She later tweeted, “Awwww!!!! All These people just sang me happy birthday to help bring in my day!!! Such a beautiful memory to have of Madrid!! Thank u thank u Spain!!”

Keys also joined Spanish star Alejandro Sanz onstage for their hit collaboration, “Looking for Paradise.”
