'Alice in Wonderland' by Bellydance Evolution performing in Hollywood

Experience "Alice in Wonderland" in a new light this summer with Bellydance Evolution. Illustrated through various dance styles such as Middle Eastern, hip-hop, tribal, contemporary, acrobatics and break dance, this dynamic live performance directed by professional dancer, choreographer, producer and master teacher Jillina, puts a new spin on how this classic story is told. Guests will be entertained by 20 professional dancers from all over the world, an array of vibrant costumes, props, live rhythmic sounds by Ozzy Ashkenazi and original music by Paul Dinletir who has composed music for "Hunger Games," "The Hobbit," "Life of Pi," "Avatar" and "Snow White and the Huntsman."

The show will be held Friday, August 1 at the Ford Theaters located at 2580 Cahuenga Blvd. in Hollywood, CA 90068 at 8:30 p.m. Adult tickets are available for $43, $33 and $23, depending on seating. Children's tickets range from $20, $16 and $12. If you purchase tickets before July 26, there is a $5 discount. Click here to reserve your spot.

In addition to performing in "Alice in Wonderland" while in L.A., some of the cast is also teaching dance workshops on Saturday, August 2 and Sunday, August 3. Several styles of dance will be highlighted including hip-hop, lyrical, belly dance and pop and locking. There's even a class offered to help get in tune with one's unique artistry through yoga, Somatic Awareness and Ankoku Butoh.
