Tresemme hair products were featured at the presentation. The hairstyles on the models were teased to the max in luxurious, voluminous, structured-yet-disarrayed silkiness.
The greenery, apples and paper boats, along with woodwork, created a lush backdrop. Models were posed on various pieces of furniture and short pedestals to showcase beautiful garments. The garments were not to costume-like, but could be easily worn in a variety of settings and by a wide range target market.
The color scheme for the garments ranged in the ever present black and white stripes; reds; blacks; splashes of printed upholstery in rich gold and silver; as well as pinches of bright yellow and hunter green.
In the alicie + olivia by Stacey Bendet NYFW Fall 2014 presentation, we saw more of the fur lapel jacket trends that have been presented by several designers this season. We swooned over the hunter green color choice for one jacket in particular, and we were equally saddened by the missed opportunity to spotlight the lovely a-line mini skirt that accompanied it. (The model just happened to be seated in a rose colored chair fit for a queen.)
Designer Stacey Bendet Eisner (aka Stacey Bendet) donned a asymmetrical skirt worthy of being described as a fine piece of artwork, paired with a lacy black tank, animal-print belt and shoes, leather choker and a pretty butterfly accent hair accessory.
Celebrity spotting included actress Kelly Rutherford, heiress socialites Paris & Nicky Hilton (who were also spotted at Diane von Furstenberg’s show), Vanity Fair’s editor Amy Fine Collins, actress Peyton List, actress Jamie Chung and more.
So, what was our favorite pick of the alice + olivia by Stacey Bendet NYFW Fall 2014 presentation? Can we say the models’ hair? That probably would not be fair, huh? Ok, well, our favo garment pick was the black embroidered tunic dress with the thigh high boot.
