Alianza Recycling and Recovery LLC is partnering with the Bakersfield Homeless Center, with an e-waste drive to help raise funds and awareness this Saturday, February 23. With "...fastest growing segment of the homeless population, women and children." according to Louis Gill - Executive Director, BHC - every bit of help is needed from our community. Since 1991, when the Bethany services transitioned from soup kitchen to homeless center, Bakersfield Homeless Center has ministered to the needs of the homeless, providing shelter, food, clothing and evolving to serve the needs of the homeless in finding their way back to home, health, and a life of their own.
The mission of the Bakersfield Homeless Center is to provide the support and resources to families and individuals in crisis while helping them to achieve their highest level of self-sufficiency You can help!
Bring your electronic waste to the drive, and the proceeds will go to the Bakersfield Homeless Center. Televisions sets, flat screens, VCR/DVD players, cable boxes, computers, cell phones, laptops, monitors, keyboards, printers, Wii/Nintendo/Sony play stations, camera equipment, car batteries, household appliances, industrial copiers to:

For more information on how you can help Bakersfield Homeless Center, click here. Currently there is great need for the following items for their littlest clients: bottles, sippy cups, boys and girls clothing sizes 2T-5T and some diapers sizes 4 and 5. You can bring these items to the Center - the donation center hours are Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
