Ali Vincent, The First Female Biggest Loser from NBC’s hit show, The Biggest Loser, made a stop in The Space City this week as part of her national Mind, Body, Sole Tour in conjunction with Famous Footwear and The March of Dimes. Ali, The Biggest Loser’s Season 5 winner, started her weight loss journey at 234 pounds on a 5’5” body frame. Although Ali was eliminated in week four of the season, she stayed on track at home, even more determined to make a change in her life. And that she did! After winning a chance to return to The Biggest Loser Ranch as the female contestant who lost the most percentage of weight at home, she lost a total of 112 pounds and became the first female winner of the hit series on April 15, 2008.
Since winning the grand prize on The Biggest Loser, Ali has been inspiring and motivating audiences across the country with her enthusiasm and zest for life. Currently, the former hair stylist, is touring the nation promoting Famous Footwear’s Mind Body Sole message, participating in Shoe Crazy Shopping Sprees for charity, leading group walks and sharing her tips on staying healthy and fit.
Ali’s visit to Houston started with throwing out the first pitch at Wednesday’s Astros game at Minute Maid Park. She also made a stop at Discovery Green and later surprised the nurses at Memorial Hermann Houston Hospital before making a scheduled appearance at Memorial City’s Famous Footwear store for a fan “meet and greet”, mall walk and shoe give away. Fans came from as far away as Arlington and Fort Worth to meet the Biggest Loser Winner and were not disappointed. Ali’s bubbly personality and commitment to health made a great impact on everyone.
