Extract, consume and destroy - or restore human and Earth Rights?
This Sunday, the question on renewable energy guru and environmental film maker, Josh Tickell's show, Tickell Talks, will be: Is Algae Fuel Finally Viable?
"Joining me will be Riggs Eckleberry of Origin Oil, an algae company that is actively involved in developing technology in the vast Australian desert," Tickell said in a written statement Friday.
"What he has to say about the fuel of the future may surprise you."
Tickell supports today's fundamental shift toward democratic decision making.
"Kill your TV," Tickell urges on his 2011 TED presentation, "Redesigning Society - From Scratch."
(Watch "Redesigning Society - From Scratch" on this page, left, Josh Tickell's TED 2011 presentation discussing how the western world has been led to extract, consume and destroy both humanity and natural resources, in the process threatening both humanity and the ecosystemplanet and how the people can change that before "collapse.")
Each week on Tickell's new program, he features a green investing update.
This week, the investing update will be presented with Tickell interviewing Greg Wendt.
"I'll be touching on some astonishing news on the ongoing BP Oil Spill saga and updating you on some new movements in the Greentech space," Tickell said.
Vertical farming was the focus of Tickell's show last week when he interviewed Dr. Dickson Despommier, author of the book, "The Vertical Farm."
Tickell is an international keynote speaker on topics of energy, climate change, climate policy, deforestation, biomimicry, green industrial technology, green design, alternative fuels, solar, wind and alternative electricity.
He has keynoted conferences, given presentations and coordinated workshops for MIT, Vassar College, Buenos Aires University, the California Biotech Consortium, The National Biodiesel Conference, Wal-Mart and the Concordia Summit with President George W. Bush.
