Algabar Inspires the Modern Tea Party

Tradition with a modern twist-an attribute that is always desirable, but hard to pull off well-especially with a tradition as old as drinking tea. With inspiration, vision, and creativity, however, one Los Angeles based tea, catering, and lifestyle company is helping to shape the future of tea. Algabar Home and Life has been featured everywhere from In Style and Los Angeles Magazine to Metropolitan Home and Food & Wine for their imaginative teas, treats, and take on the new modern tea party.

Algabar is the brainchild of interior designer Gail Baral whose passion for tea and design have built the foundation of the company's traditional meets modern appeal. Though Algabar's retail location closed its doors last September, it has opened many more for endless online shopping (including wholesale), catering, and special events, like this month's Spring Tea Tasting.

Visit AlgabarStore.com and browse through a stylish array of tea accessories, loose leaf tea, and tea bags, with innovative and seasonal flavors like Organic Oolong Rouge in biodegradable bags and recycled packaging. If your Spring Fever needs more than just one flavor of tea, get schooled by Ms. Baral in Tea Education or host your own event that she and fellow designer Robert Wain will cater to perfection with Algabar's modern tea party concept, Fete Du The. Fete Du The creates a menu and ambiance for every occasion that is inspired by and infused with tea. From over 50 unique teas and tea infused cocktails, candies, and gourmet bites, you can't go wrong whether you choose from the afternoon tea menu, "marteanis" and hors d'ourves, or a-la-carte.

Be sure not to miss the first event of the season Saturday, April 17th from 1 to 3pm at Rolling Greens Nursery in Hollywood. The Spring Tea Tasting will include Gail Baral on hand to pour her freshest blends and fill you in on their benefits including a very Springy sweet pea green tea rich in antioxidants and exclusive to rolling green. Another benefit? Admission is totally free.

In addition to shopping Algabar online, you can pop into one of their local retailers like Rolling Green, Joan’s on Third, and the gift shop at Montage Beverly Hills where teas are also served. There are many more treasures to explore and much to learn on Algabar’s website.
