Looks like it’s time to cue up the Tom Jones! While the “Dancing With the Stars” Season 19 cast list has been one of the worst kept secrets in television (the leaked cast list that was posted last week by Pure DWTS), on Thursday’s “Good Morning America,” the list new cast list was officially announced following a morning of tweets teasing the cast pairings.
And one of the most highly anticipated contestants is actor Alfonso Ribeiro, who is partnered with Witney Carson. “The Fresh Prince of Bel Air” alum told “GMA” host Robin Roberts that yes, his iconic dance from the ‘90s sitcom will be featured during his “Dancing With the Stars” stint – provided fans keep him around long enough.
When Roberts asked Ribeiro if he’d be busting out the moves for The Carlton, the actor said, “I think we are thinking about it. We are planning it at some point. We will give the fans what they want to see, and that is The Carlton Dance.”
In addition to his famous dance, set to the Tom Jones classic “It’s Not Unusual,” Ribeiro promised another “Fresh Prince” fave, the Jump On It dance, as well as some Michael Jackson moves.
This season’s “DWTS’ cast also includes comedian Tommy Chong (pro partner: Peta Murgatroyd); mixed martial artist Randy Couture (partner: Karina Smirnoff); political commentator Tavis Smiley (partner: Sharna Burgess); pro race car driver Michael Waltrip (partner: Emma Slater); soap star Antonio Sabato Jr. (partner: Cheryl Burke); actor Jonathan Bennett (partner: Allison Holker); YouTube guru Bethany Mota (partner: Derek Hough); designer Betsey Johnson (partner: Tony Dovolani); actress Janel Parrish (partner: Val Chmerkovskiy); reality star Sadie Robertson (partner: Mark Ballas); actress Lea Thompson (partner: Artem Chigvinstev); and Olympic athlete LoLo Jones (partner: Keo Mostepe).
It was previously announced that “DWTS” alum Julianne Hough will return as a judge on this season’s edition of the celebrity ballroom competition. “I'm so excited to be back with my ‘Dancing with the Stars’ family again on a regular basis,” Hough said, according to Us Weekly. "I've always aspired to be an all-around entertainer, whether I'm acting, dancing or singing, and I'm thrilled for this opportunity that will allow me to continue all of those pursuits."
