Alexis Wright, who allegedly ran a prostitution ring out of her Zumba studio in Maine, is said by her business partner to have had sex with him as well, Huffington Post reports Jan. 19.
According to Mark Strong, Sr. -- who is a married man -- told "Nightline" that he provided financial backing for Wright's dance studio, but he denied being involved with her any other way. Since her arrest last fall, Strong has been just as embroiled in the Zumba scandal as she. Neither of them have been linked sexually until now. Strong claims it was nothing more than "physical."
"We did have intimate moments but it's not what I would consider romantic," Strong said in the televised interview. "It was just physical."
Strong will begin trial on Tuesday. He's charged with 59 counts of misdemeanors for working with Wright in the prostitution business.
Alexis Wright reportedly had sex with as many as 150 clients throughout Maine and surrounding areas at her Zumba studio. She faces a 106-count indictment in prostitution and charging taxes. Her trial begins in May.
