While the Alexandria Zoo is under construction there is no need to avoid visiting. The exhibits have been moved around, so you wont miss anything. The new set up actually saves you about a 15 minute walk! Zoo officials are aiming to make a better place for the animals and for the people who love them.
This is still a kid friendly zone. You may notice less goldfish due to contamination last year in their water. You can no longer feed them freely because of the reduction in the population now in the pond. There are still enough to make quite an impression on the little ones though.
The Alexandria Zoo still offers a full playground for the kids to play while the parents take a break. There are also concessions and refreshments available on the property. This is a great idea for the whole family to come together and have a great time.
The weather has been optimal for visiting the Alexandria Zoo. It is open all year around, and it always offers up fun for the whole family. Once these construction efforts have been carried out you can expect some pretty awesome changes.
