Movie fans in Scottsdale are waiting to see True Blood star Alexander Skarsgard on the big screen. This Friday, he will be featured in Straw Dogs, but last weekend his focus was on another upcoming project, Melancholia, which is set for release later this year. On Monday, Wet Paint shared some of what the actor thinks of his acting career. Check out photos of him at the Melancholia premiere this weekend here. On television, fans of the actor know him as Eric Northman, but his role on True Blood, which just wrapped up its season on Channel 200 in Scottsdale, has earned him roles that will take him to the big screen. According to the Wet Paint, he said the following about the roles he has been offered and what he would like to do in the future:
"All the characters I play are all inside of me in a way, and they’re all different, the darkness, the lightness, whatever that is. I'm not interested in parts where they are looking for a good-looking guy. I want to be a weird little sidekick in a crazy comedy and then play like a dark drama or a thriller."
Melancholia features a cast that also includes Kirsten Dunst, Kiefer Sutherland, and John Hurt. Check out a trailer here. Fans are waiting to see what this actor does next. One fan said the following on Twitter recently:
@RyanGosling and alexander skarsgard both have movies opening friday. the theaters are going to set on fire with that level of hotness.
Straw Dogs is set for release this Friday. Melancholia is set for release to Scottsdale theaters on November 11.
