Alexander Skarsgard avoids media commentary on Evan Rachel Wood, True Blood

For True Blood fans, some can't get enough of hot Alexander Skarsgard but for Alex it's all about laying off the media hype.

"I try to avoid blogs, or websites related to the show," the 33-year-old actor told France's mag Toute la Tele this week.

As an actor, I don’t think it’s good to read everything that is written about True Blood. If you read a lot of positive things on the show, it would probably be bad for my ego," he told the mag while laughing.

Adding, "And negative criticism would get my attention but I would start doubting myself.”

The 6-foot-4 Swedish hottie has revealed he'll be lots of nude in the first episode of Season Three and thinks he has his sex appeal figured out.

"I think the age of Eric, all the things he's seen in his years, make him attractive," Eric told the French press. "As well as confidence and the ability to kill in one second!" he added.

Or killer muscles. Either way, Skarsgard finds his figure to be of the norm saying on one of his fan sites, "Sometimes you like the way you look and sometimes you don’t."

Alex says he stays vampire sexy by not smoking and keeping up with his body with five-days-a-week workouts. Skarsgard alternates between weight and resistance training and treadmill cardio to stay lean and maintain muscle mass.

In related news, Skarsgards rumored flame and True Blood co-star Evan Rachel Wood has hooked back up with her ex, Marilyn Manson. While Skarsgard has avoided commentary he has said of his co-star in a past interivew, "Evan is amazing. She’s the sweetest girl and a fantastic actress. It’s fun - it’s going to be a great season."
