From Twilight to True Blood, the question of who would make the better boyfriend keeps coming up: Vampire or Werewolf? This season of True Blood introduced us to those of the canine nature and fans have gone wild for werewolf, Alcide Herveaux played by Joe Manganiello. But, there is still hope for those on Team Eric!
Let's analyze this, shall we?
Fast: Vampires are fast - insanely fast. The move so quick that you only see a blur, which comes in handy if someone was trying to attack you. Said offender wouldn't even see your man coming. Which brings us to...
Strength: Able to knock a tree down with a single shove. If you get tired, he can pick you up and carry you home - even if you hold the Guinness Record of Heaviest Woman on Earth.
Agility: This dead boyfriend of yours can run and run and run and never get winded unlike his canine natural enemy. He never has to stop for a water break, bathroom break, or to grab a bite to eat.
Seductive: Let's face it, vampires are just sexy. Something about the fangs, danger, and smooth-talking makes them alluring. No one wants a boyfriend who may have to cough up a hairball every now and then.
You have the day to yourself: Sure you may be tired from staying up late during your man's waking hours, but you can go about your day without worrying about him. Need to run errands, read a book, or meet up with friends? No problem! As long as the sun is up your main squeeze is dead to the world and you can do whatever you want during that time.
Alexander has made women (and men!) go wild for the vampire frenzy that has taken over the past few years. His portrayal of Eric Northman draws us in...just as a vampire should.

If something so bad happens and you don't ever want to remember it he can glamor you. Also if you drink his blood he will always know how you feel so no excuses lol in that department
The vampire Eric has the most mesmerizing eyes ever, you would never tire of looking into them. He has the voice of an angel and his body is pretty amazing. While warewolf Alcide has a nice body that seems to be his main skill, running around with his shirt off. His voice is incredibly grating.
Alex is just such an incredible actor he actually morphs into the role he is playing. He truly becomes an intelligent, strong, handsome, interesting, funny vampire. Not sure about the warewolf, so far I have not seen anywhere near that caliber of acting from him, just another well build shirtless actor, another Hollywood clone.
um werewolves don't cough up hair balls, canines don't even cough up hair balls
the guy who plays Alcide used to play Owen on One Tree Hill. I liked him better there. And as far as Alex goes, NO ONE in my mind could really play Eric like he does. He.... gets... how Eric *in the book* is supposed to be. He does an amazing job. Plus, he doesn't change into an animal or have a "time of the month" like the shifters and Were's do.
he is just...fantastic
Even if Alexander Skarsgård played a werewolf, he'd make it sexy....
Con: Vampires are cold.
