Alex Meraz goes shirtless in the pool for People magazine's 'Sexiest Man Alive'

Twilight New Moon star Alex Meraz has no shame in going shirtless. Perhaps the reason the star was included in People magazine's "Sexiest Man Alive" issue.

Not only does the 24-year-old actor dance around in a pool for a sneak peek video (wet t-shirt contest, anyone?) he also poses in the pool for a photo shoot, to debut in the next issue.

This muscle-packed hottie is specialized in martial arts, like co-star Taylor Lautner, and is Native Mexican Indian of the Purepecha Nation.

This all that hard body doesn't have a soft side? So untrue. The young Twilight actor is an avid painter and illustrator, according to Wikipedia and has an extremely grounded definition of "sexy".

"My definition of sexy is someone who is expressing themselves honestly," the star said in his interview with People magazine. "Who is confident and knows what they want out of life."

So for heart-pounding ladies across the country who are not only confident but know they want more shirtless Meraz, I have good news. He thinks you're sexy.

Another key note for fitness junkies is Meraz's confession he feels sexiest after he departs from the gym or after finishing a painting.
